Leaning Toward LightÂ
A Reading of Poets Who Tend the Earth
Let's gather in the serene environs of the San Francisco Botanical Garden to honor the spiritual solace that can be found in reading poetry—and in tending the earth. In her new anthology Leaning Toward Light, poet Tess Taylor brings together dozens of acclaimed contemporary poets who also share her love for gardening. During this uplifting reading, Alan Chazaro, Jane Hirshfield, Danusha LamĂ©ris, and Claudia Monpere will join Taylor to read poems that celebrate a joyful connection to the natural world. FREE with San Francisco Botanical Garden admission, $5-10 suggested donationÂ
